What is not zero-knowledge
Your documents, their names and everything inside your vault are encrypted on your device before they leave it. One optional feature sits outside that boundary: the Community Map. If you opt in, the display name and the city you choose are stored in plain form so that other signed-in Relocat users can see them. Nothing else changes, the app never uses your location, and you can leave the map at any time. Section 11 of the privacy policy has the details.
